
On your arrival at the Bangalore Airport/Railway Station, get ready to be greeted by our representatives as they will be assisting you with your transfer to your hotel. After check-in, you’ll have time for yourself to prepare before we hop on a tour on your first day in the Silicon Valley of India. We’ll get to know this beautiful city that’s famously dubbed “The Garden City.” Start with Bangalore Palace that’s known as a majestic 19th century structure surrounded by lush gardens within the heart of the city. It is easily a hotspot for locals and tourists, featuring architecture of times bygone as intricate carvings decorate the interior of the wooden structures. Explore the medieval castles and discover ancient culture of the royal families that used to govern from this palace. The Sri Radha Krishna Temple which is only a 15-minute ride away from the palace, remains as one of the largest ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temples in the world. It is a majestic structure with no holds barreled when it comes to sourcing only the best materials ranging from granites, marbles, and glass imported from Korea. Still within the heart of Bangalore, we’ll visit the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, a gorgeous 1960 structure that serves as a museum to preserves the culture and art of Bangalore. There are museums, galleries, and archives displaying modern and contemporary art as well as traditional artwork, some of them worked by students of The College of Fine Arts and The Bengaluru School of Visual Arts. The museum’s highlight is its display of the Indian Gold Leaf work and Mysore paintings. The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is a gorgeous garden where you can see many red roses that bloom all year round. It is also previously known as the Rose and Cypress Garden and you’ll also see why it is called “The City of Garden.” The Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is proud as one of South Asia’s most diverse botanical garden and can even considered historical as it was built in 1760. We’ll head to another magnificent building in Bangalore, Vidhana Soudha that was built in 1956. Rising to 46m tall, visitors are allowed to check out the external view of this Dravidian-style construction. About 5000 people were involved in the construction of this white-granite building, located just across the High Court of Karnataka. As the sun sets, you’ll have the evening free for leisure time. Spend your time at the local department store or enjoy a night stroll around the beautiful city. Maybe visit a pub or two and experience the nightlife here! Enjoy your breakfast today before we check out of your hotel and leave Bangalore. We’re heading to “The City of Palaces” Mysore by land and it’ll be a 3.5-hour ride, 150km far. We’ll be making several stops and visit a number of attractions to keep the long ride exciting and meaningful. Our first stop is the Srirangapatna, the capital of Tipu Sultan. This is actually an area that earned its name from the Ranganthaswamy temple built in 984, a place with religious and historical importance. It was the former capital of Mysore during the reign of the legendary King Tipu Sultan. Once we’re here, we’re obviously going to visit the famous temple itself, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, where the manifestation of Lord Vishnu, Ranganatha, is worshipped. This temple is one of the five main pilgrimage destinations in Sri Vaishnavism. It’s a truly ancient site as survey of the inscriptions found in the temple revealed that it was consecrated in 984 during the Western Ganga dynasty. The idol that you can find in this temple is believed to be the largest statue of Vishnu in Adidesha or reclining pose in Karnataka. Next, we’ll head to the Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace that is best known for its Indo-Islamic architecture. This place used to serve as the summer palace of the Mysorean ruler, Tipu Sultan. It is a two-story palace made of wood, mortar, stone and plaster, surrounded with a gorgeous garden. The interior is decorated with flower patterns on the walls. One can’t help but imagine what it would be like to be Tipu Sultan who’d spend his leisure time here. From the palace, we head out to Srirangapatna Fort which is a historically important structure that dates back to the time Kingdom of Mysore prevails. About 23km away from Mysore, it’s an easily accessible fort built in Indo-Islamic style in 1454 by Kempe Gowda. It has three round of fort walls and two layers of moats and to protect the fort, crocodiles and snakes were raised around the area as natural enemy repellents, creating one of the toughest forts to penetrate. We continue on our journey and follow to Tipu Sultan’s final resting place at Gumbaz. Also known as Gol Gumbad, is a Muslim mausoleum of Tipu Sultan that features the tomb and garden that wraps around it. Tipu was buried here in 1799, surrounded by a garden of cypress and a myriad of flowering trees and plants he got from French Mauritius, Ottoman Turkey, Persia, and more. The original carved doors have been removed to be displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum while the current ebony doors with ivory decorations were donated by Lord Dalhousie. Then we’ll head back to the hotel after the tour, chek in and overnight stay in Mysore.
Enjoy your breakfast before check-out from the hotel. We’re going to visit Chamundi Hills known for its height and where the Chamundeshwari Temple was built. At almost the elevation of 3,500ft, one can enjoy the most incredible sight of Mysore city from above and naturally, cooler breeze and refreshing air. And then head to Mysore Palace, also known as the Maharaja’s Palace. This stunning three-storied royal residence is surrounded by serene gardens. The Wadiyars called this place home. The palace was made of fine gray granite and rich pink marble. After the palace, we’re done with Mysore and transfer to Coorg to continue our tour. Enroute, we’ll stop at Golden Temple, also known as the Namdroling Monastery. This is the largest school where Tibetan Buddhism teaching known as Nyingmapa is preached. Then have a great at time at the forest resort Nisargadhama which is surrounded by lush, beautiful forest. We’re going to check-in at the hotel on arrival and spend overnight in Coorg.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to the Irupu Falls. The Irupu Falls are located in the Brahmagiri Range in the Kodagu district of Karnataka, India, bordering the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is a fresh water cascade. The make your way to Wayanad. Wayanad is situated in an elevated picturesque mountainous plateau in the Western Ghats and in true sense is the green paradise of kerala .On arrival check in to the hotel and relax . Post breakfast proceed for half day sightseeing covering Banasura Sagar Dam & Meenmutty waterfall. Meenmutty waterfalls - The largest and most spectacular waterfall in Wayanad, Meenmutty is a three-tiered fall located in the middle of a lush, moist, tropical forest,. The water plunges down from about 300 meters in three stages, and all the three stages require separate treks. The first tier can be reached by walking for about half km from the parking area. The second tier can be reached by trekking up through steps built over boulders. The half km path runs along with downstream of the river and offers wonderful views of the stream and thick vegetation. The third tier is the toughest and needs some walking through the stream on slippery rocks with help of ropes. The ascend is steep at few places and this half km stretch takes about 10-15 minutes. The peak on top of third tier offers breathtaking views of Banasura Sagar Dam and surrounding valleys. Visit Banasura Sagar Dam, it is reckoned as the largest earth dam in India & the second largest of its kind in Asia. The dam is made up of massive stacks of stones & boulders. The vast expanse of the crystal clear water of the dam dotted with small islands is a photographer’s delight. Enjoy nature walk and speed boat rides (on direct payment basis). Pazhassi Raja Tomb - the memorial of Veera Pazhassi Raja & Pazhassi Raja museum. The museum has a limited display of local artefacts. One item that takes up a lot of attention is the sword of Pazhassi Raja. Return to hotel and spend rest of the day at leisure. Evening free for own activity. Overnight stay at Wayanad.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and Proceed to Mennkutty View Point on Banasura Dam. Then proceed to transfer to Bangalore airport / railway station (280km/6hr) with fun filled memories
